There’s something for everyone this October Bank Holiday Weekend in Ballinamuck!

Traditional Music (Thursday, the ’98 Bar), Intermediate County Final (Saturday, Glennon Bros. Pearse Park) Hallowe’een Fancy Dress Table Quiz (Saturday, Dillons), Pool Tournament (Sunday, the 98) and Social Dancing (Sunday, the 98 Hall). The Spooky Drive is sold out! And then a chance to win €2,200 in the parish lotto!

And of course, there’s the usual entertainments and activities – the 1798 Visitors Centre, village and bog Walks  and the famous hospitality of the ‘98 Bar and Dillons – live music, open fires, food, drinks and sport on the telly (take your pick!)

Stay safe this Hallowe’en Bank Holiday  and enjoy what’s on offer!

Intermediate County Final

Saturday: Kick off the weekend (see what we did there!) with a trip to Glennon Brothers Pearse Park to support Fr. Manning Gaels in their battle against Sean Connollys. Kick off 1pm. Tickets on sale here

Table Quiz

Saturday: After the mad excitement (and hopefully winning score) get your glad rags (or costume) on with a fancy dress table quiz to raise funds for our newest Community Group – The Gunner McGee Players. They will be performing in December and proceeds will fund this performance. Get your spook on (and your answers ready) for this event in Dillons – raffle, spot prizes and a bar tab for the winning costume!

 

Pool Tournament

Sunday: In memory of the Colin Heaney, the Heaney Boy Pool Tournament takes places in the The 98 Bar. Young and not so young are invited for the event that starts at 3pm – crepes, cocoa, photo booth, finger food and prizes galore! Sign up here

 

Social Dancing

Sunday: Dancing for everybody! 5 – 7pm in the ’98 Hall. Music by Michael Cleary & Jacqui Bannon

  • Doors open at 4.45pm
  • Beautiful welcoming venue (steeped in history!)
  • Fantastic dance floor
  • Ample parking – assisted by stewards
  • Tea, Coffee, light refreshments including delicious home baking throughout the evening
  • Accessible entry (side door of hall) with accessible toilet.

Lotto Draw

Monday: And to round off the weekend, the parish Lotto draw will take place in Dillons at 9pm. Make sure you buy an envelope/enter on line as €2,220 wouldn’t go amiss after that weekend! www.ballinamuck.ie/lotto
